Radical changes of traditional paradigms

The end of 2016 is near, a globally extremely successful year for tourism and hospitality, and a large part of the industry is planning a stable growth for 2017. It is expected that the global hotel industry revenue in 2016 will reach 550 billion dollars, while just five years ago it was 457 billion dollars, which is an increase of almost $100 billion. It is anticipated that in 2017 the growth will be more significant. However, this trend of successful business is not guaranteed to all: hotels will have to make a special effort to proactively and effectively respond to a set of challenges that each day appear and develop in relations to customers, but also to the market itself. Some of the major challenges will be finding the best ways to use the abundance of available data about guests and their proper integration, as well as the recruitment and retention of staff and the positioning of the hotel in accordance with changes in the dynamics of competition.
